Slow cooker muesli for a cold day

2 cups steel cut oats
6 cups water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 apple peeled, cored and chopped
handful of raisins and craisins
handful of chopped almonds
1/4 cup brown sugar (I think this amount will do) I didn't actually use any sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Dump everything in the slow cooker and cook on low over night and voilĂ !
Nice hot muesli for the morning. I eat it with almond milk or plain yoghurt.
